Eco Kids was a 10 month campaign run by toy shop Eco Toy Co. The online club encouraged children to participate in monthly eco challenges, providing activity instructions and badges as rewards. This initiative not only raised awareness about sustainability but also enhanced Eco Toy Co's brand image and saw traffic to their ecommerce site increase by around 20%.
Each month, Eco Kids presented a new eco challenge to its members. For example, the "Compost King" challenge taught children about composting through activities such as creating a mini compost jar and learning the do's and don'ts of composting. Another challenge, "Recycling Hero," encouraged children to help sort household rubbish for recycling. Activities included crafting a superhero costume from recycled materials and printable recycling labels for children to decorate their bins at home.
